Summer Solstice - Full Expansion
Happy Summer Solstice for everyone in the Northern Hemisphere! Welcome to the most yang, masculine, extroverted, and expansive day of the year. It is also the longest day and shortest night of the year! You may have already noticed increased activity and movement within your household, neighborhood, and city. Everyone is on the move! Even the birds and animals are frolicking about. We’ve finally reached the peak energy of the year. All the plans we set into motion last year are finally put into action. There is intensity in the air and a thrill to get outside and enjoy the abundant blooming elements around us.
Summer Begins - The Heart Emperor’s Fire
According to the Lunisolar calendar, summer energy begins today for the Northern Hemisphere. We’re at the halfway point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice! From this day until we reach the Summer Solstice, we will experience the expansive energy in the elements around us and also within us. All that has been confined and camouflaged in the previous seasons will now reach the surface and take center stage. The moving currents of the spring winds have generated enough upward force to create the summer heat that we need for the Summer Solstice.
Spring Equinox - The Big Bloom
Happy Spring Equinox for everyone in the Northern Hemisphere! You may have noticed the last few weeks have been a mix of extremes from weather patterns to personal engagements. We’ve been teetering between the energies of winter and spring. You may have experienced the simultaneous sensation of cold and hot, contracting and expanding, stop and go, and slow and fast. Nothing feels grounded or stable. This energy can make the measurement of time feel confusing as well. One day moves quickly and then the next day slowly.
Winter Solstice – The Essence of Sacred Bones
Happy Winter Solstice for those in the Northern Hemisphere! On the shortest day and longest night of the year, we are embodied by the darkness to remind us of our mother’s womb. This is a nourishing and sacred time for many communities all around the world. A time for rituals to gather, celebrate, renew, and honor our spiritual and ancestral connections. Many believe the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds are very thin at this time and it allows us to move between realms and elevate our consciousness.
Fall Equinox - Arrival of Yin
Happy Fall Equinox for those in the Northern Hemisphere! We have been transitioning the last few weeks to get to this point with the Earth element energy that is grounding, stable and centering. You may have noticed yourself feeling more tired and exhausted the last few days. This is your body’s way of slowing down the pace. We have finally arrived at the two Yin seasons for the year. Fall and Winter represent the Metal and Water elements, which means quieting and healing the deepest parts of ourselves, down to the bones.
