Spring Equinox - The Big Bloom

Happy Spring Equinox for everyone in the Northern Hemisphere! You may have noticed the last few weeks have been a mix of extremes from weather patterns to personal engagements. We’ve been teetering between the energies of winter and spring. You may have experienced the simultaneous sensations of cold and hot, contracting and expanding, stop and go, and slow and fast. Nothing feels grounded or stable. This energy can make the measurement of time feel confusing as well. One day moves quickly and then the next day slowly. Spring and fall seasons are the transitional and transformational months with more erratic and volatile changes. Whereas winter and summer seasons are considered the steady seasons with more gradual and moderate fluctuations. Today we have finally broken free from the last tethers of winter and now we begin the rebirthing process.

Major shifts are coming! We are no longer switching between gears. From this moment on until we reach the Summer Solstice, we will be in the fast lane. Movement, expansion, momentum, drive, creativity, and innovation will all be accelerated as spring season comes alive. All through the winter, we’ve been incubating and developing ideas in our little cocoons. There is now enough fertile ground to spread our wings and bring these ideas into reality. Put your manifesting magic to the test and raise your vibration up to meet the level of energy of what you’ve been asking for. You’ve done all the hard work and there is nothing more to do, but to release your control to the bigger forces of nature. Trust the process and let go of your worries. This is a cycle of renewing and resetting for everyone. Ask, believe, and you shall receive.

The rising energy of spring may bring to the surface old emotions, memories, and trauma. Your body remembers anniversaries and one year ago we were only beginning the pandemic. A massive collective trauma that is still ongoing. Even if it is not within your own world, people around you are dealing with the loss of loved ones, homes, jobs, and businesses. People are grieving, struggling, working in fear, and dealing with health issues. All these traumas are coming back to the surface to be healed and mended. Collective trauma requires collective healing. Compassion is the key to healing for this enormous stage. Listen to your body and be mindful of other people’s energy in your space. It’s hard to separate ourselves from this mass movement. Be gentle with yourself as your body renews and sheds the old skin of the past. We cannot bring in new energies if we’re still holding onto old energies that are weighing us down. If you truly want change, clear the table and make room for growth.

We emulate nature in many ways and the elements around us are blooming. We are blooming! It may not feel like it since we’re still dealing with tough times, but change is never easy. If change was easy, everyone would change. Healing can be a painful process. This painful process we’re enduring together represents transformation of our society and the way we’re living. You can feel the frustration and anger in the air. We all want change. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring season is associated with the emotion of anger. Use the energy of anger to your benefit and utilize it for productive change. Anger produces action and determination to heal and rebuild.

When anger is out of balance, then we see violence and aggression. This is the extreme version of action, which only leads to destruction. We’re seeing this now in the mass shootings and white terrorism in the United States; highlighting the need for the Stop Asian Hate movement and also continuing the Black Lives Matter effort. Spring season can hold intensity, but it can also hold a positive force for progress and growth. Some argue that the Big Bang Theory was actually the Big Bloom. We bloomed from the great explosion. You are blooming, transforming, and rebirthing yourself. Be kind to yourself as you breakthrough old obstacles and barriers. You can do anything you set your mind to.
